All Nepal Football Association(ANFA) has postponed the ANFA Presidential election scheduled on Chaitra 14, 2074(March 28, 2018) until further notice.
ANFA election committee issued a press release today mentioning that the ANFA Presidential election is postponed after Patan High court on Thursday issued stay order on ANFA election after reveiwing writ filed by Makwanpur and Bhaktapur districts.
The release states,"As Gautam Sujakhu of Bhaktapur DFA and Manish Shrestha, Makwanpur DFA VP filed writ at Patan high court against ANFA on Chaitra 8, the court has issued stay order on the election until it makes final decision. We would like to inform about the postponement of the election until further notice to respect the decision made by the court."
Former VP Karma Tsering Sherpa and current VP Mani Kunwar are vying for the post.
But Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA have directed ANFA to host presidential election on scheduled date.
