News Inter-municipal Football, Hetauda: Bagmati And Thaha Win Their Respective Matches

Bagmati Municipality and Thaha Municipality have emerged victorious in the ongoing inter-municipal district level men's football tournament in Hetauda on Monday. In the first match played on Monday, Bagmati Municipality defeated Indrasarovar and Thaha Municipality defeated Makwanpurgadhi Municipality. 

In the first match of the first edition of the competition organized by District Coordination Committee Makwanpur at Hetauda-4 Huprachaur on Monday, Bagmati defeated Indrasarobar Municipality 3-1 in a tiebreaker. After the scheduled 80 minutes of play ended in a 2-2 draw, the game was pushed to a tie breaker.

 In the ninth minute of the first half, Indrasarobar took the lead through Milan Lama's goal but in the 20th minute, Bagmati captain Akash Rana Magar scored to level the game 1-1. In the 27th minute, Indrasarobar's players managed to regain the lead by scoring a goal through a free kick. But Bagmati equalised in the injury time to push the match to the shootout.

Goalkeeper Umesh Pakhrin of Bagmati made two excellent saves in the shootout and made the team victorious. Goalkeeper Pakhrin was also declared Man of the Match. 

Similarly, Thaha Municipality defeated Makwanpurgadhi Municipality by 4-0 in the second match of the tournament today. Rajan Gole of Thaha gave the team the lead in the 64th minute of the second half of the match which ended in a very competitive draw in the first half.

In the second half, Thaha's Sandesh Bal scored the second goal for the team. In the 82nd minute and in the fourth minute of injury time, Rajan Gole scored two individual goals and scored the first hat-trick of the match. Rajan Gole was also declared the man of the match.

Today, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City will face Bakaiya Village Municipality. The winner of the tournament will get two lakhs rupees while the runner-up will get one lakh. Best player of the tournament will get Rs. 5000 while other positional wise best players will get Rs. 3000 each.
