
Machhindra Football Club has entered the final of the ongoing 7th Bagmati Gold Cup with an impressive victory.
Machhindra defeated Three Star Club 3-1 in the second semi-final on Saturday, moving closer to the title.
Three Star took the lead at the Shahid Smriti Stadium. Three Star, who took the lead through Alex's goal in the 37th minute, could not maintain that lead.
For Machhindra, Shishir Lekhi equalized in the 42nd minute, while Samirraj Thokar added a second goal in the 51st minute. Similarly, Stephen scored the third goal in the 88th minute to seal Machhindra's victory.
Machhindra captain Devendra Tamang was declared the man of the match in the match. Machhindra will now face Charch Boys in the final on Monday.
The winner of the competition, organized by the Bagmati Rural Municipality Sports Development Committee, Jhurjhure, Makawanpur, will receive a cash prize of Rs 1 million along with the title, while the runner-up will receive Rs 500,000.
