Ganga Kumari Malla Smriti Adarsh Cup Open Seven A Side Football Tournament has started.

White Lotus Club defeated the host Adarsh Yuva Club (A) in a tie breaker in the opening match at the host club's playground located in Butwal-15, Ujelapur.

After the match ended in a goalless draw, the game was decided by a tiebreaker. In the tiebreaker, White Lotus won the result 3-2 in their favor. In the match, the goalkeeper of White Lotus, Rajesh Pun, was declared the man of the match.

Similarly, in the second match which was supposed to be held on the first day, JIUFC was declared the winner in a walk-over after the opposing team did not appear on the field within the scheduled time.

Before that, the chief guest of the event was inaugurated by Butwal-15 ward chairman and Butwal sub-metropolitan city spokesperson Shiv Rana. Rupandehi District Football Association president Lok Pun, host club president Manish Kafle and others were present on the occasion.

The winner of the competition will receive 50,000 cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 23,000. The final match of the tournament in which 22 teams are participating will be held on October 30th.
