Lisnu Youth Club, Kotihawa has entered semifinals of Khagi Gurungseni Smriti 36th Jharna Cup open knockout football tournament.

In the first quarter-final held on Thursday, Lisnu managed to secure a place in the last four after defeating city rival New Creation Youth Club, Karaujia 3-1.

In Lisnu's victory, African players Ohineba Adusei Poku Henry, Carlos Sami and Samirraj Thoker scored one goal each. Sandeep Malla scored a goal for the defeated New Creation.

Lisnuka Ohineba Adusei Poku Henry was also elected man of the match. Under the competition, the second quarter-final match on Friday, October 11, will be played between Gorkha Boys Sports Club, Butwal and Young Star Club, Madaha, informed Vijay Pun, the game coordinator.

self Sponsored by her husband and senior social worker Captain Narjang Gurung in memory of Khagi Gurungseni, the winner of the competition will receive 310,000 cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 181,000. The final match will be held on Ashoj 17.
