The thrilling final match, which transpired on Saturday, witnessed Nagaswati (A) emerging triumphant in a tiebreaker against the host team, Nagaswati (B).
Following a goalless draw during the regular time, the outcome hinged on a nail-biting tiebreaker, during which Nagaswati (A) outscored Nagaswati (B) 4-3, securing the coveted championship title.
In a display of exceptional prowess, Subin Ghimire of Nagaswati (A) was honored as the Man of the Match in the final. The victorious Nagaswati (A) not only claimed the championship title but also received a cash prize of 2 lakhs. Meanwhile, the valiant runners-up, Nagaswati (B), were awarded 1 lakh in cash along with a trophy, medals, and certificates.
Recognizing individual excellence, Dilip Kshetri from Nagaswati (A) was named the Best Goalkeeper, Kanya Subba Gurung from Nagaswati (B) earned the distinction of Best Defender, and Rajkumar Ghising from Nagaswati (B) was lauded as the Best Midfielder. Deepak Aryal, the coach of Nagaswati (A), was acknowledged as the Best Coach, while Dipen Rai from Nagaswati (A) was celebrated as the Best Forward. These outstanding individuals in their respective categories were each awarded a cash prize of 10,000 and a trophy.
Furthermore, Prakash Rana from Nagaswati (A) was honored as the Best Player of the Tournament, an accolade that came with a substantial cash prize of 50,000 and a trophy.
The Nagaswati Veterans Club of Hetauda-7, under the auspices of Nagaswati, successfully organized this prestigious tournament, which saw the participation of a total of 16 teams. The tournament commenced on October 16th and showcased remarkable talent and sportsmanship throughout its duration.
