3rd Mechi Netralaya Kakarvitta gold cup winners will get Rs 8 lakhs, GoalNepal can confirm.

President of Kakarvitta football training centre, Meen Basnet told GoalNepal about the increment in the winning purse.

"We have decided to raise winning purse to Rs 8,01,000 from Rs 3 lakhs. Runners up team will get Rs 4,01,000", said Basnet.

Top A Division league teams will take part in the event.

The most valuable player will get either Rs 51,000 or a motorbike.

Sports lover Bhadramaya Basnet announced Rs 25,000 to the best goalkeeper. Nawaraj Pradhan from Mechi Netralaya announced Rs 25,000 to the highest goal scorer.

Mechi Netralaya is the main sponsor of the event. Narendre Meche will sponsor the second prize.
