Jhapa: Hosts Dhaijan-Charaali Veterans Wins Title Of 6th Veterans Cup

Hosts Dhaijan-Charaali veterans have won the title of 6th veterans cup in Jhapa.

Dhaijan-Charaali defeated Kakarvitta veterans 1-0 in the final match played on Tuesday. Kiran Rai scored the match winner.

Rai became the best player of the tournament. He also became the highest goal scorer along with Prem Limbu.

59 yr old Gangalal Gurung from Kakarvitta was honored with Rs 5,000.

The champions received Rs 61,000 while runners up team got Rs 41,000. First prize was sponsored by Rajan Katuwal from Janata sewa meat shop and second prize was sponsored by Roshan Prasain.

Jhapa district sports development committee president Shankar Thapa, Jhapa DFA president Bhagirath Ale MAMA, hosts club president Aashish Ban and other guests distributed prizes to the winners.
