Nepal's head coach Vincenzo Alberto Anees said that Nepal's preparation is good this time and hopes for a good performance against UAE.

"This time the preparation has been good. Regardless of whether we win or lose the game, we play well. I believe in the players,'' Anees  said ahead of the match.

The World Cup qualifying journey is over for Nepal, now the remaining two matches will be important for the preparation of the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers. Nepal will play their last group match against Yemen on June 11 in Damman.

UAE coach Paulo Bento also said that his goal has been achieved and said that he will play for victory against Nepal. "We have accomplished our goal. Now we want to win the rest of the game and stay at the top of the group.

This is the third time that Nepal is going to play against UAE. Earlier, when Nepal played against UAE twice, they lost both times. Nepal played against UAE for the first time in 1984 in Saudi Arabia in Asian Cup qualifiers. In which Nepal was defeated by a wide margin of 11-0. Similarly, in the first match of the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers, Nepal lost 4-0 to the UAE in their own ground.

The Nepali team, which failed to score in the last four World Cup qualifiers, is now struggling to score.

This time, experienced player Anjan Bista is not available in the Nepali team due to injury. In his absence, the new forwards have to take responsibility.
