Chitwan: 3rd Madi Gold Cup Kicks Off

3rd Madi gold cup got underway at Madi, Chitwan on Saturday.

Lekhnath United defeated Namuna Jana Uthhan club, Sindhuli 2-1 in the opening match. With the win, Lekhnath has entered semifinals.

Sagar Lopchan and Sanjib Ale scored apiece for the winners. Alish Tamang scored one for the losing side.

Kumar Gurung from Lekhnath became the player of the match.

Eight teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of NRs 2,50,000.
