Jhapa: Late Bishal Khadka Memorial Province Wide Football Tournament Kicks Off

Late Bishal Khadka memorial province wide football tournament got underway in Jhapa.

Rastriya Jagriti, Itahari, Sunsari defeated Red Horse Ilam3-1 in the opening match.

Ninam Rai, Samir Rai and Sushant Tamang scored apiece for the winners. Pasang Sherpa scored a consolation goal for Red Horse.

Umesh Karki became the man of the match.

Earlier, Jhapa DFA president Bhagirath Ale "MAMA" inaugurated the championship.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong Jhapa Forum provided Rs 50,000 to the tournament organizers.

Eight teams are participating in the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 1,00,111.
