Province 7 Far-Western Capital Cup: First Of Men's and Women's Semis Over, Royal Gorkha And Racing Sahara Victorious

Far-Western Capital Cup has seen both men’s and women’s first semifinal matches conclude today. In a much competitive women’s semifinal, Royal Gorkha Kanchanpur defeated Attariya Sports Academy 4-3 on sudden death to book their place in the final.

In a fiercely competitive match, Kanti Patali opened the scoring for Gorkha in the 12th minute of the match. It wasn’t until the 52nd minute of the match that Attariya came back into the match.

Attariya’s Hema Chaudhary finished off a beautiful free-kick to level the scoreline. The ninety minutes ended 1-1 and the game was pushed to a shootout and Gorkha came out victorious. 

Kabita BK of Royal Gorkha was declared as the player of the match and received Rs. 3000 as a reward. 

In the men’s semifinals, Racing Sahara Kohalpur defeated Farwest Pashupati Youth Club, Dhangadhi 3-0 to enter the final. Fagu Tharu scored for Kohalpur in the third and sixty-fourth minute of the match while Bibek Santoshi scored in the 22nd minute of the match to give their team an easy 3-0 victory.

Kohalpur’s Madhav Bhandari was declared as the player of the match and received Rs. 4000 as a reward.
