Khasyauli Football Club, Butwal has entered the quarter finals of the 1st Gautam Buddha Cup Open Knockout Football Tournament in Butwal.
In the third pre-quarterfinal held on Friday, Khasyauli defeated Chandani Yuva Club, Danapur 4-2 to advance to the quarter-finals. Sabi Gurung scored two goals in Khasyauli's victory, while Suraj Malla and Anuj Chantyal scored one goal each.
There, Sushan Rahadi and Shambhu Gharti scored back goals for Chandni. In the game, Chandni lost another chance to score another goal. Deepen Sen could not use the penalty opportunity that Chandni got. His penalty kick was saved by Khasyauli goalkeeper Kushal Sunar.
Khasyauli's Sabi Gurung, who scored two goals in the match, was declared the man of the match. As part of the competition, the game on Saturday 8th August between Wanganga Welfare Society, Kapilvastu and Janjyoti Club, Dingarnagar was informed by the game coordinator Roshan Pun.
The winner of the competition organized by Gautam Buddha Community Development Institution, Kanchan-5, Piparichapa, Rupandehi will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,01,111 and the runner-up will receive Rs 55,555. The final match will be held on 20th of Bhadra.
