On the occasion of Haritalika (Teez), the great festival of Nepalese women, Gautam Buddha Community Development Center, Kanchan-5, Piparichapa, Rupandehi is organizing the first Gautam Buddha Cup Nine A Side Knockout Football Tournament from 5th of August.
The team registration for the tournament to be held at the playground of the organizing organization located in Kanchan-5, Piparichapa has been opened till 1st of Bhadra. In addition, Roshan Pun informed the game coordinator that the team registration fee is 8000.
The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,01,111 along with the title, while the runner-up will receive a trophy, medal and certificate along with Rs 55,555, said coordinator Roshan Pun. Apart from that, he informed that appropriate prizes have been arranged for the best players in the field.
Kamal Darji, the president of the organizing organization, said that the competition is going to be held with the aim of promoting the production of local athletes, giving them opportunities and brotherhood, maintaining unity and promoting culture. Chairman Darji also said that Teej Fair and various cultural programs will be organized on the occasion of the competition.
