Melamchi municipality will take onSunkoshi rural municipality in the final of Komal Maya- Khadga Basnet Memorial cup football tournament in Sindhupalchowk.

Melamchi defeated Indrawori rural municipality 3-0 in the first semifinal match played at Barahbise on Sunday.

Sajan Majhi scored a brace while Yubaraj Dhakal scored another for the winners.

In second semifinal match, Sunkoshi sidelined Chautara municipality 5-3 on penalties. Both teams played 2-2 draw in regulation time. Suresh Khatri became the player of the match.

The final match will be played on Poush 28, 2077.

Nepal Congress sports department is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 1 lakh.
