Nepal U16 skipper Pradip Lamsal has been excluded from the final squad.

The ANFA said three players; GK Ishwor Gurung, midfielder Pradip Lamsal and Ashim Rai, are excluded from the squad that travelled India for the SAFF U15 Championship. Head coach Sunil Shrestha have included Patthunghang Nembang, Crystal Shakya and Dipesh Rai in the team.

Skipper Lamsal had scored four goals for Nepal in the competition. He is one of the key players in the team. Then why he is excluded from the squad? ANFA hasn't given any explanation.

Coach Sunil Shrestha is not reachable for the comment despite repeated attempts.

GoalNepal learns from the source that Lamsal has failed MRI examination (about the age).

Nepal is grouped with Jordan, Kuwait, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka. The qualifiers will be played in Jordan and will start from September 14-22.

Nepal will open the campaign taking on Jordan on September 14, will play against Kuwait on September 16, meets Tajikistan on September 20 and plays Sri Lanka on September 22.
