News Jhapa: East Horizon School Clinches Title Of Harikumar Prasai Memorial U-13 Cup

East Horizon Boarding School of Dhulabari, Jhapa has become the champion of the Harikumar Prasai Memorial District Level Inter-School U-13 Football organized in Birtamod, Jhapa.

East Horizon defeated Nidi School of Birtamod by a margin of 3-2 goals in the final match held today at Everest Smart Education Academy. Nirjal Mohora scored 2 goals for East Horizon and Nishant Chaudhary scored one goal. Riwan Timsina and Prakash Rajbanshi scored goals for Nidi. Nirjal Mohora was the player of the match.

Prince Thamsuhang of East Horizon was declared the best keeper, Aditya Gole was the best defender, high scorer Nishant Chaudhary and best coach Saroj Tamang were declared the best midfielder, Nidika Ujwal Jabegu and best forward Balmiki's Darpan Gurung. Similarly, the Fair Play Team award goes to Devkul English School, the Emerging Player was Prasun Gautam of Everest Smart, while the Best Player was Abishkar Samyu Limbu of East Horizon.

The final match, organized with the aim of producing players and encouraging students in football, was inaugurated by Nagendra Prasad Sangraula, Deputy Mayor of Birtamod Municipality.

Jhapa 11 Football Club President Jal Kumar Gurung, Everest Smart Education Academy Principal Anup Sharma and other principals of various schools distributed prizes to the winning and runner-up teams and players. In memory of the academy's founder Prasain, 16 teams from schools in Mechinagar, Birtamod, Shivasatakshi, Kamal and Damak municipalities of Jhapa participated.
