3rd Amardaha Dhalke Joban cup football veteran tournament got underway at Amardaha, Morang on Saturday.

Sankhuwasabha Dhale Joban defeated Amardaha Dhalke Joban 3-1 in the opening match.

Satish KC scored a brace while Prem Ghimire scored another for the winners. Buddha Hang Rai scored one for Amardaha. Ghimire became the man of the match.

16 teams from province 1 are taking part in the championship, which has a winning purse of Nrs 2,11,000. Runners up team will get Nrs 1,51,000.



Earlier, Nepali congress leader Minendra Rijal inaugurated the championship.

Urlabari veterans will play against Birtamod veterans on Sunday. The final match will be played on Jestha 7.
