With a narrow victory, Hamro Dharan Veteran, Sunsari has entered the quarterfinals of the ongoing 4th Birat Veteran Gold Cup Knockout Football Tournament.

Hamro Dharan Veteran defeated Mills Veteran, Morang 1-0 in the pre-quarterfinals held on Monday. Bijay Rai scored the only goal for Hamro Dharan Veteran in the match. Bijay Rai, the decisive goal scorer of Hamro Dharan Veteran, was adjudged the Man of the Match of the match.

The quarterfinal match under the tournament will be held on Tuesday, Magh 22, between Rajarani Veteran, Dhankuta and Purveli Veteran, Jhapa, the organizers informed.

The winner of the tournament organized by Birat Veteran Club, Morang will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,01,111 along with the title, while the runner-up will receive a trophy, medal and certificate along with Rs 50,555. The final match will be held on Magh 26.
