Jhapa XI has entered semifinals of 2nd Bishal memorial gold cup football tournament in Birgunj, Parsa.

Jhapa XI played the game sans important players. Jhapa XI had won Ruslan 10th Falgunanda gold cup on Monday in Phidim, Panchthar. Team travelled almost 14 hrs drive from Phidim to Birgunj to take on Royal FC Darjeeling.

Aashish Chapagain became the man of the match and received Nrs 5100.

Himalayan Sherpa will play against Birgunj XI in the first semifinal match on Wednesday.

Bishal memorial foundation is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of Rs 5,55,555.
