Padampokhari Youth Club, Hetauda has won the title of Makwanpur District League Football Tournament. In the final match on Saturday, Padampokhari won the league title by defeating Shahid Smriti Club, Bagmati Rural Municipality by 3-1.

The winner Padampokhari received one lakh in cash along with the title, while the runner-up Shahid Smriti was forced to settle for a shield, medal and certificate with 50,000.

Brijesh Titung was the man of the match in the final match. Similarly, in other categories, Rojak Thing of Padampokhari was chosen as the best goalkeeper and Arun Ale Magar of Shahid Smriti was chosen as the best defender. After Padampokhari, Ale Magar became the best forward when Navraj Thing of Padampokhari was declared the best midfielder. Gyanu Muktan of Padampokhari was also selected as the best coach. Similarly, the best player of the tournament was also declared the Rojak Thing of Padampokhari.

The winner and runner-up team players of the competition were awarded by the chief guest of the closing program, former Social Development Minister Kumari Moktan and other guests.

Before the final match, a one-minute silence was also observed by placing garlands on the photo of the youth players who died due to a landslide in Indrasarobar.

28 teams participated in the competition. Padampokhari, who won the title, will now represent Makwanpur district in province league.
