
Dharan Football Club, Sunsari has become the last team to enter the semi-finals of the ongoing 15th Itahari Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament.
In the fourth quarter-final held on Tuesday, Dharan defeated Church Boys United, Lalitpur 2-1 to enter the last four.
In the match held at Itahari Stadium, Dorje Tamang and Bibek Rai scored goals for Dharan. Anant Tamang scored the only goal for the defeated Church Boys.
Dharan's Dorje Tamang was adjudged the Man of the Match in the match. He received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a trophy. The first semi-final match of the tournament will be played between United Kharsang Football Club, India and Machhindra Football Club, Kathmandu, the organizers informed.
The winner of the tournament, organized by the Rastriya Jagriti Club, Itahari, will receive a cash prize of Rs 1 million along with the title, while the runner-up will receive Rs 0.5 million. The final match will be held on Falgun 10.
