After winning the departmental derby, Nepal Police Club Kathmandu has entered the finals of the Golden Eminent second Chitwan Gold Cup.

In the second semi-final held today, Police came close to the title by disappointing APF Football Club Kathmandu in sudden death. Before that, the game ended in a goalless draw. After a 3-3 draw in the tiebreaker, Police upset last edition's runners-up APF in sudden death.

Goalkeeper Shatrudhan Chaudhary became the hero in Police's victory. Shatrudhan, who stopped two APF shots in the tiebreaker, saved the opponent's shot in sudden death and scored a goal himself. He was the man of the match.

Police will now face Butwal Lumbini FC for the title. Butwal has already entered the final by defeating Salhes FC Siraha in the first semi-final.

The title match of the tournament will be held on Saturday. The final match will start at 3 pm. The winner of the competition will receive a trophy of Rs 6 lakh and the runner-up will receive Rs 3 lakh.
