The ANFA Complex in Satdobato buzzed with anticipation on Wednesday as the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) organized a press meet to unveil the readiness for the upcoming Lalit Memorial ANFA U-18 Youth League 2024.
ANFA Vice President and League Coordinator Deepak Khatiwada took center stage to provide insights into the meticulous preparations underway for the prestigious youth tournament. Accompanying him were ANFA Spokesperson Suresh Shah, Competitions Director Sanjeeb Mishra, and other key officials who fielded questions from the media, outlining the league's structure and objectives.
A total of twelve renowned clubs have committed to participating in this year's edition. Each participating club has been allocated Rs 350,000 to facilitate their tournament preparations, underscoring ANFA's commitment to nurturing grassroots football talent across Nepal.
Matches are set to unfold at the ANFA Complex ground in Satdobato, where the twelve clubs will engage in spirited competition following a double round-robin format. The team that emerges at the top of the standings will claim the league title, bringing honor and recognition to their club.
In addition to team accolades, individual excellence will be celebrated with cash prizes for standout performers: the League champions will pocket Rs 100,000, while the runners-up will earn Rs 50,000. Furthermore, the Most Valuable Player, Highest Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper will each receive Rs 15,000 for their exceptional contributions throughout the tournament.
