Taplejung District Football Association has won the women's football tournament title of the historic Madan Mela 2081 held at the local Trimohan Mavi's sports ground.

In the final match, Munal FC defeated Jaljale's B team 1-0 and became the champion. Pratiksha Rai's goal was decisive to make Taplejung the champion.

She was also declared the best player of the game. Similarly, the high scorer was Taplejung's Samiksha Rai and Munal's Ashika Karki. They scored the same 22 goals.

Similarly, Sarala Rai of Taplejung was the best goalkeeper and Jennifer Magar of Taplejung was the best forward while Munal's captain Semihangma Limbu was the best defender. The winning Taplejung team received 80,000 cash and a running shield.
