Freedom Brothers United 'A' has won the title of the Third Ward President's Cup Veteran Football Tournament.

Freedom 'A' defeated Chabahil Sports Club 'B' by a narrow goal difference of 1-0 in the final at Chabahil Sports Ground. Bishwa Lal Shrestha scored the decisive goal for Freedom.

Along with the title, Freedom 'A' received a cash prize of 1 lakh. Chavhil 'B', the runner-up, was satisfied with a trophy, medal and certificate along with 50,000 cash.

In the competition organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 7, Deepak Lama of Chawhil 'B' was declared the best player of the competition. Panchnarayan Maharjan of Chawhil 'B' was chosen as the best goalkeeper, Rajkumar Ghising of Freedom 'A' was chosen as the best striker and Vishwalal Shrestha of Freedom 'A' was chosen as the best defender. The best four received a cash prize of 5,000 each.

The winner was awarded by the chairman of the organizing ward 7, Bimal Kumar Hoda and others during a program. Tournament coordinator Ajab Shrestha informed that 20 men's teams competed on knockout basis in the tournament which started on Jestha 10th.
