News Jhapa: Both Teams Of Purbeli Yuwa Club Enter Final

Purveli Youth Club has entered the finals of the late Durgadevi Shrestha Memorial Veterans Football Tournament.

In the last semi-final match held today at Birtamod's Domalal Rajvanshi Stadium, Purbeli yuwa club came close to the title after defeating Morang's Virat Mega Veterans FC by a wide margin of 5-0.

With the win, both the teams from the hosts have reached the finals. Both teams have secured at least 55 thousand 555 rupees.

In the 36th minute of the game, Ramesh Gurung of Purveli took the lead by scoring a goal. Likewise, captain Dinesh Chaudhary added a goal during the injury time of the first half to make the game 2-0.

In the 40th and 47th minutes of the game, Bishal Rai A of Purveli scored goals. Likewise, in the 56th minute, Bikarn Shrestha scored a goal to ensure a wide victory.

The player of the match was Bishal Rai A from Purveli. He got cash 2500 and trophy. He was awarded by distinguished guests Nepal Tea Growers Association President Aditya Parajuli and businessman SP Prasain.

Dipen Chowdhury, the chairman of the organizer Purveli Yuva Club, said that the final match of the tournament, in which eight teams from Koshi region are participating, will be held on Jestha 7.

Chowdhary said that the winner of the competition will get Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand 111 in cash, trophy and medal, while the runner-up will get Rs 55 thousand 555 in cash. Likewise, the player of the match of each game will receive cash 2500 and a trophy.

The best player of the tournament will be awarded 10,000 cash and a trophy. Coordinator Tekraj Teeling said that the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward, high scorer and coach of the tournament will receive cash of five thousand and a trophy. Ravin Shrestha, chairman of Purveli Yuva Club Birtamod, presented the cash prize to the winner in memory of his mother Durgadevi Shrestha.

This club, established 15 years ago as a joint organization of the leading youth of Birtamod, has been leading in social work along with sports.
