Trial under the Road to Tottenham program organized by Shree Bhagwati Club and in collaboration with Keystart-Tottenham Academy in Bangalore has been completed.

Manish Joshi, the former president of Mr Bhagwati Club, a member of the All Nepal Football Association, informed that more than 3,000 enthusiastic players of different age groups from all over Nepal participated in the event organized on Baisakh 29th and 30th with the aim of identifying the talent of football players in Nepal and arranging a trip to Tottenham.

A team of 4 coaches came to Nepal under the leadership of coach Lakshman Bhattarai from the academy with the aim of identifying the talent of the players and providing elite scholarship opportunities to Kickstart Tottenham Academy. The team played U-11, U-13, U-15 for 12 hours on the first day from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm at Chasal Football Ground and on the second day at ANFA Complex from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm for U-17, U-19 and U-21.

The successful players will get the opportunity to participate in various foreign league competitions with elite scholarships. The organizers said that the final result of the selection will be received only on Monday.

Coach Laxman said that for the development of football in Nepal, we should work from the grassroots. He said that although there are so many players who are enthusiastic about football, apart from a few players who are members of the club, knowledge and information about many things should be provided to others. The players were found to be enthusiastic about football but they also lacked proper knowledge.

ANFA member Manish Joshi informed that some women players who trained in Kickstart are providing excellent results in the national team. He plans to continue this program and increase the level of Nepali players and football teams.

Due to lack of own ground of Bhagwati Club, selection was done at Chyasal stadium & ANFA complex.
