Gateway Academy and host Peace Point have entered the finals of the sixth Peace Point Cup inter-school football tournament.
In the first semi-final at Sano Gaucharan ground, Gateway defeated Eklabya school by 4-3 goals in a tiebreaker. Both played a goalless draw at the scheduled time. Gateway's Laxman Upreti was declared 'Man of the Match'.
Peace Point, which is on a double hat-trick campaign in the title, beat Mankamana 3-1 in the other semi-final. Rahul Lama scored 2 goals and Pawan Budhathoki scored 1 goal for Peace Point, which won the title in all the previous five editions. Manav Lama of Manakamana scored 1 goal.
Nitesh Moktan of Peace Point was selected as 'Man of the Match'.
The final will be held on Wednesday. There will also be a match for the third place on the same day. The top three position winners will receive cash prizes of 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 respectively.
