
APF Football Club has entered the quarter finals of the 6th local level Shahid Smriti Makwanpur Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament in Hetauda.
In the third pre-quarterfinal held on Thursday, APF defeated Machindra Football Club in a tiebreaker to advance to the quarter-finals. The game was decided by a tiebreaker after the match ended in a 1-1 tie at Gauritar stadium.
In the tiebreaker, APF managed to win 4-3 over Machindra. APF's goalkeeper Angel Shrestha, who saved two shots from the opponent in the tiebreaker, was declared the man of the match.
As part of the competition, the match, on Friday, will be played between Rajarani Club, Dhankuta and Nepal Police Club, Kathmandu, informed the organizers.
Organized by Makwanpur District Football Association and under the management of New Danfe Football Club, Hetauda, the winner of the competition will receive 1.5 million in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 1 million. The final match will be held on the 27th of Magh.
