News 6th Makwanpur Gold Cup: Right Lane Bagmati Club Enters QFs

The Right Lane Bagmati Yuwa Club, Sarlahi has made a winning start in the local level Shahid Smriti 6th Makwanpur Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament.

Bagmati got off to a winning start by defeating Paro Football Club, Bhutan 3-1 in the opening match at Gauritar Stadium located in Hetauda-6. In the victory of Bagmati, Raj Bhushal scored two goals and one more goal was scored by Srijan Gautam. Dorji scored a goal for Paro.

Raj Bhushal, who scored two goals for Bagmati in the match, was declared the man of the match. With this win, Bagmati has also entered the quarterfinals. Under the competition, the match on Wednesday will be played between New road Team (NRT) and Himalayan Sherpa Club, the organizers informed.

Earlier, the chief guest of the opening program of the tournament was Meena Kumari Lama, Mayor of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, Tikaram Lama, President of Makwanpur District Football Association and others.

Organized by Makwanpur District Football Association and under the management of New Danfe Football Club, Hetauda, the winner of the first competition will receive 1.5 million in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 1 million. The final match will be held on the 27th of Magh.
