
The sixth edition of the local level Shahid Smriti Makwanpur Gold Cup will be held this year at Gauritar Stadium in Hetauda 6 of Makwanpur.
This decision was taken by the working committee meeting of Makwanpur District Football Association.
Tika Lama, President of Makwanpur District Football Association, informed GoalNepal.com that the competition was held at Pipley Campa Stadium earlier, but this year it is going to be held at Gauritar Stadium, which is under construction.
12 teams including 8 A division clubs will participate in the competition which is going to start from 16th of Magh with the support of the local level of Makwanpur.
The winner of the competition will get 1.5 million rupees and the runner-up will get 1 million rupees. Similarly, Amrit Lungba, the treasurer of Makwanpur District Football Association, informed that cash prizes have been arranged for the outstanding players.
The competition has been directly supported by Bagmati State Government, Ministry of Social Development and State Sports Development Council.
