The 31st edition of the Triveni Cup 2080 has commenced in Lamjung Besisahar, setting the stage for intense football competition.

In the opening match, Sundarbazar FC secured a notable victory by defeating the home team, Triveni Youth Club BG, with a scoreline of 3-1.

Dipesh Ghale, Saroj Tamang, and Aron Thapa were the goal-scorers for Sundarbazar FC, while Tanka Gurung netted one for Triveni Youth Club.

A total of 21 teams are actively participating in this highly anticipated tournament. The stakes are high, with the winner set to claim a prize of 8 lakhs, the runner-up receiving 4 lakhs, and the two semi-finalists each earning 1 lakh.

Individual excellence will also be recognized, as the Player of the Tournament and the Top Goal Scorer will be awarded 20,000 each.
