In a thrilling day of action at the 32nd Triveni Cup 2081, APF FC and Shree Tokha Bhagwati Club booked their spots in the semi-finals with dominant victories in their respective quarter-final matches.

APF FC delivered a commanding 4-0 win over Machindra FC in the day's first quarter-final. APF’s skipper, Hari Karki, opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, giving his side the breakthrough. The match saw a clinical display from Pradeep Lama, who netted a brace in the 40th and 51st minutes, further increasing APF’s lead. Yuvaraj Khada sealed the deal with a goal in the 58th minute, ensuring a comfortable 4-0 victory for the departmental side.

Pradeep Lama, with his double, was named Player of the Match and was awarded a prize of 5,000 NPR for his outstanding performance.

In the second quarter-final, Shree Tokha Bhagwati Club triumphed 3-0 over NRT to secure their semi-final berth. Amit Lama was the hero for Tokha, scoring a brace in the 7th and 37th minutes, respectively.

The match was put to rest in the 47th minute when foreign recruit Richard Abhekh found the back of the net, making it 3-0. Tokha's comfortable victory secured their place in the semi-finals, where they will face a tough challenge.

With the two semi-finalists confirmed, the action will continue tomorrow with two exciting quarter-final matchups:

  • Triveni Youth Club will take on Avishek Church Rajhar Nawalpur in the first match.
  • TAFC will face Budha Youth Club Bhodeodar in the second quarter-final.
