In a spectacular display of talent and sportsmanship, the 29th Inter-School IGP Football Trophy, organized by Nepal Police School Sanga and sponsored by the Nepal Police, unfolded with riveting matches today.

In the first match of the day, Budanilkantha School demonstrated their prowess by defeating Baylor School Banepa with an impressive scoreline of 8-0. Anuj Khadka from Budanilkanth School was declared the Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution. With this commanding victory, Budanilkanth School secured a coveted spot in the Quarter-Finals.

The second match witnessed Nepal Police School Sagan dominating DAV School in a one-sided affair, clinching victory with a resounding 7-0 scoreline. Bhupesh Lamale of Nepal Police School was crowned the Man of the Match, having scored three goals, while Dawa Tamang and Padam Chaulagai contributed two and one goals, respectively. Despite Davy scoring an own goal, Nepal Police School Sagan sealed their place in the Quarter-Finals with three consecutive wins and a total of 9 points.

In the third match of the day, NPS Dharan displayed exceptional skill, securing a 5-0 victory against Graceland School. Samir Rai's stellar performance earned him the Man of the Match title. With this win, NPS Dharan proudly emerged as the winner of their group, having won all four matches and solidifying their spot in the Quarter-Finals.

In Group 'C', Laboratory School earned a Quarter-Final berth with three wins. Nepal Police School Sagan 'B' and Kashtmandap School, both with 3 points, are still in contention, while SOS Cavre, without a single win, languishes at the bottom of the table.

Looking ahead, the ninth day promises three exciting league matches. KUHS and RMS will clash in the morning, followed by Jems School against Baylor School and Sainik Awasiya College facing NPS Samakhus in the second and third games, respectively. The competition intensifies as teams vie for supremacy in this thrilling football tournament.
