Juntara FC Mangsebung and Little Star FC Damak have won their respective matches in the Shubh Dipawali football tournament held at Dokan Danda, Phakphomthum Rural Municipality 7 on Monday.

In the first match, Mangsebung entered the quarterfinal match by defeating the rival Sabjung FC of Deumai municipality. The goal scored by captain Manu Limbu was decisive for Mangsebung. He scored through a free kick in the 42nd minute of the game.

A shot from the middle of the field turned into a goal. He became man of the match. Similarly, in the second match, Damak defeated New Star FC Chillingdin of Panchthar by 2-0. Nima Tamang scored both goals for him.

16 teams are participating in the competition organized by Phakphokthum Ward No. 7 Sports Development Committee.

The winner of the competition will get 1 lakh 25 thousand in cash and the runner-up will have to settle for 75 thousand in cash.
