In a thrilling football showdown that unfolded in Urlabari, Morang, the host team, Ambari Sporting, secured their place in the semi-finals of the open knockout football competition. The Saturday match witnessed a fierce battle between Ambari Sporting and Gouradah Football Club, culminating in a 2-1 victory for the former.

Sanjay Dhimal of Ambari showcased remarkable performance, scoring the opening goal in the third minute of the first half, establishing an early lead for his team. Dhimal demonstrated his prowess once more in the 17th minute, executing a brilliant one-on-one maneuver.

However, Gouradah's Bikas Limbu managed to make an impactful contribution, finding the back of the net with a stunning free kick in the 24th minute of the first half. Despite an impressive attempt by Limbu from 25 yards, Ambari Sporting's goal remained unscathed.

Karan Chaudhary, representing the host team, earned the title of Man of the Match, acknowledging his exceptional performance throughout the game.

Sandeep Dhimal, the secretary of the organizing committee, disclosed that the upcoming match on Sunday will feature a face-off between Brother United Urlabari and Damak Star Club.
