5th Makwanpur Gold Cup: Birgunj United Stuns NRT To Enter QFs

  B Division league side, Birgunj United has entered quarterfinals of 5th Makwanpur gold cup football tournament.

Birgunj United stunned A Division league side NRT 3-2 in a tight match played at Piple stadium on Monday.

  Kripa Chaudhary scored two goals (50’, 74’) while Bibek Chaudhary scored another in 29th minute.   

Dinesh Ale Magr (24’) and Lalnuzama (79’) scored apiece for NRT.  Birgunj will now play against Avenir FC on Falgun 3.

 Two goal hero Kripa Chaudhary became the player of the match and received NRs 10,000 cash.

According to DFA general seceratry, Chabi Subedi, Himalayan Sherpa Club will play against Bagmati club Sarlahi on Tuesday.

Makwanpur DFA is organizing the championship, which has a winning purse of NRs 15 lakh.
