
The fifth local-level Martyr's Memorial Makwanpur Gold Cup Invitational International Gold Cup football will be held from Magh 29 to Falgun 11, the organizers informed through a press conference.
With the aim of promoting and developing football in Makwanpur and contributing to the commercialization of Nepali football, the tournament has been continued this year with grandeur, said Tikaram Lama, chairman of Makwanpur District Football Association.
In a press conference, the organizers informed that the necessary preparations for the tournament to be held at Piple Campa Stadium in Hetauda have also started. The winner of the competition with main sponsorship of the local levels of Makwanpur district, will receive a cash prize of fifteen lakhs along with the title, while the runners-up will receive ten lakhs.
The best player in the competition will get 50,000 in cash, while the best players in individual categories will receive 25,000 each. It was also informed in the press conference that the man of the match of each game will be awarded cash of 10,000.
Also, as in the previous editions, this time also, the best player will be given a bullet motorcycle under the sponsorship of Hetauda School of Management, the organizers informed. According to the organizers, a total of 12 teams from Nepal and abroad will participate in the competition.
