News Avenir FC Into The Semifinals Of Waling Gold Cup

African team Avenir FC, Cameroon have entered the semi-finals of the ongoing Waling Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament here.

Avenir managed to enter the last four by defeating Tribhuvan Army Football Club, Kathmandu 3-1 in the fourth quarter-final held on Tuesday.

All four goals scored in the game were scored in the first half. Abdel scored the first goal for Avenir in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 26th minute, Timba doubled that lead.

However, in the 43rd minute of the first half, Dinesh Henjan tried to bring the team back into the game by scoring a beautiful goal through a free kick for Army but was unsuccessful. In the extra time of the first half, Avenir's captain Anise scored the third goal to ensure the victory of the African team.

Avenir's Abdel was elected man of the match. He received Rs 4,000 in cash and an attractive gift hamper as an award.

Avenir will play host Waling United (Red) on Magh 5th for the second semi-final. Similarly, Keshar Thapa informed that the first semi-final match on Wednesday 4th Magh will be between the organizers Waling United (Blue) and APF Club, Kathmandu.

The winners of the tournament organized by Waling United Football Club, Syangja will receive a cash prize of Rs. 5,00,000 and the runners-up will receive Rs. 2,50,000. The final match will be held on the 7th of Magh.
