News World Champions Argentina Arrive Home To Euphoric Buenos Aires

Kathmandu (GoalNepal) - Argentina national team, the current World Champions, have set foot back on Argentine soil after their triumph in Qatar. Jubilant Argentines welcomed the Argentina squad in the early hours of Tuesday after being crowned World Champions after a 36-year hiatus.

Skipper Lionel Messi, the player of the tournament in the tournament, was the first to set foot outside the plane, accompanied by their coach, Lionel Scaloni. As the team bus pulled out from the airport, it was surrounded by applauding fans dressed in the national colors of blue and white. 

The team was on the streets in an open bus at around 4 AM in the morning but jubilant Argentines were in thousands to welcome their triumphant team back home.

Thousands of supporters will line the streets of the city later on Tuesday to witness the team's victory parade after their thrilling penalty shootout victory over France on Sunday in Qatar. In honor of this, Tuesday has been declared a national holiday.

The team will rest at Ezeiza Camp, Argentina's training facility, before heading off to the Obelisk in the afternoon, the monument that is the traditional epicenter of sporting celebrations.
