News Bangladesh With A Stellar Start In The SAFF U-15 Women's Championship

Kathmandu - Bangladesh have made a brilliant start in the SAFF U-15 Women's Championship, which started on Wednesday. In the opening match at the Bir Shrestha Shahid Sepahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh got off to a winning start with a comprehensive 8-0 victory over Bhutan.

Sauravi Preeti scored a hat-trick in Bangladesh's win. Similarly, Umehala Marma scored two goals, while Umhela Marma, Joynor Rita and Kanon Rani contributed one goal each.

Nepal will start the proceedings facing Bhutan on November 3, followed by Bangladesh on November 5. Nepal will again face Bhutan on November 7 and Bangladesh on November 9. The top-ranked team after the league stage matches will be the title winner. 

Only three teams from South Asia are participating in the tournament played in a double round-robin format. The team at the top of the table will be the winner.
