News Army Into The Semis Of Chitwan Gold Cup

One of the contenders, Tribhuwan Army Football Club, have entered the semi-finals of the ongoing Isuzu Chitwan Gold Cup International Football Tournament. In the fourth quarter-final held on Thursday, Army Nawa Jana Jagriti Youth Club, Simara 3-2 to advance to the semifinals.

Captain George Prince Karki, Bimal Pandey and Sunil Rai scored goals for the Army in the match held at Campachaur in Narayangadh. Suresh Kumal and Anish Chaudhary scored for NJJYC. Army captain George Prince Karki was declared the player of the match. He received Rs. 10,000 cash and a trophy as an award.

Army will now face Avenir FC, Cameroon on Ashoj 1 in the second semi-final.

The match coordinator Dhruba Bhushal informed that the first semi-final between Manang FC and Nepal APF FC will be played on 31st of Bhadra.

The winner of the tournament organized by KBA Global Bharatpur FC, Chitwan will get a cash prize of Rs. 7,00,000 and the runners-up will get Rs. 3,50,000. The final will be held on Ashoj 3rd.
