After participating in the SAFF U-17 Football Championship held in Sri Lanka, the Nepali team has returned home. The Nepalese team returned home on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 PM.

The Nepali team was welcomed by General Secretary Kiran Rai and other officials of ANFA.

Nepal finished as the runners-up in the tournament after losing 4-0 at the hands of India last night.

India managed to avenge its defeat against Nepal in the group stage. Nepal had defeated India 3-1 in the group stages. Nepal also defeated Bhutan 2-1 in the group.

Nepal put in a stellar performance in the semifinals defeating Sri Lanka 6-0. But in the final, Nepal had to succumb to India.

ANFA president Nembang had flied to Sri Lanka to attend the final.
