Satrudhan Chaudhary was named the player of the match in the Local-level Martyr's Memorial Makwanpur Gold Cup 2079 fixture against Manang Marshyangdi Club. Police defeated MMC 1-0 to make their way to the semifinals of the tournament.

Chaudhary saved a penalty in the match and stood as a wall in front of the goal to save various MMC chances to give his team the victory.

Police will now face the winners between Bijay Youth Club and Nawa Jana Jagriti Youth Club, Simara in the semi-finals.

The winner of the competition will get Rs 15 lakhs in cash along with the title while the runner-up will get Rs 10 lakhs. Similarly, those who excel in the individual category will also be given Rs 25,000 cash and a trophy each. The best player in the competition will get a motorcycle sponsored by the Hetauda School of Management.

A total of 12 teams including top clubs of the country are participating in the competition.
