Makwanpur and Ramechhap emerged victorious in the first ever Bagmati Sports Men's Football tournament. In the first match held at the newly built Campa Stadium in Piple, Hetauda, Ramechhap defeated Sindhupalchowk 4-2 in the shootout. The regulation time remained goalless and the match was sent to penalties.

Similarly, in the second match of the day, Makwanpur defeated Nuwakot 3-0. In w competitive match, the first half remained goalless. In the second half, Sudip Sapkota scored a brace in the 78th and 83rd minutes while Samir Raj Thokar scored in the 60th minute.

Sapkota was named the player of the match. The winning teams, Ramechhap and Makwanpur have advanced to the quarterfinals. 

Sindhuli and Kathmandu are scheduled to face on Wednesday in the first match while Bhaktapur and Rasuwa are scheduled to face each other in the second match of the day.
