Nexus school has won the title of 3rd Orchid cup football tournament in Kathmandu.

Nexus defeated Kastup school 5-4 on penalties on Monday.

Both teams had played 1-1 draw in regulation time. Binayak school clinched third position beating New Star Pole 2-0.

Diplov Rai was adjudged the best player of the tournament. Sujal Shrestha received the best defender award and Nima Tamang got the best goalkeeper award.

Rabin Bam was declared the highest goal scorer. Nepal Tara received the fair play award.

The champions received Rs 10,000 cash, medals, trophy and certificates.

Lawmaker Yagyaraj Sunuwar, school management president Prem Kumar Bhujel distributed prizes to the winners. 32 teams took part in the event.
