With victories in today's semifinals, Lalitpur Metropolitan and Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan have advanced to the final of the ongoing Deputy Mayor Cup National Women's League qualifiers.
These two teams have secured their spots in the National Women's League by reaching the final.
Lalitpur defeated Kankai 1-0 in the first match played at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.
Nirmala BK's third-minute goal was enough to get them over the finish line. Srijana Singh of Lalitpur was named the player of the match.
The second match, however, was a different story. Dhangadhi defeated Gauriganga 4-0 to clinch a spot in the upcoming league. In the ninth minute, Seema Rawal gave them the lead.
Chandra Bhandari doubled Dhangadhi's lead in the first minute of the second half, with goals from Devika Pandey in the 69th minute and Saraswati Rokaya in the 89th minute to make it 4-0 in the end. Saraswati was named the match's best player.
The final will be held at the ANFA Complex on November 14th.
