Ward No. 15 and Ward No. 12 have succeeded in entering the semi-finals of the Ward No. 15 Ward President's Cup Knockout Football Tournament held on Wednesday in Hetauda.

Ward No. 7 defeated Ward No. 17 4-1 in the first match at Gauritar stadium and managed to enter the semi-finals. Sushant Tamang scored two goals, Dipesh Thapa Magar and Sujal Shrestha scored one goal each. Sushant Tamang, who scored two goals, was declared the man of the match.

In the second match held today, Ward No. 12 defeated Ward No. 5 by 2-0 and became the second team to enter the semi-finals. Sajan Pakhrin and Dhanjit Thing scored one goal each in the match. Sajan Pakhrin of the winning team was declared man of the match. The man of the match of both the matches won the trophy along with cash 1500.

According to Gobinda Negi, the tournament coordinator, the first match of the competition will be played between Ward No. 9 and Ward No. 15 and the second match between Ward No. 14 and Ward No. 8 on Thursday.

The winner of the competition, which is going to be organized by Hetouda Sub-Metropolitan City No. 15 Ward Sports Development Committee, will receive 100,000 cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 50,000. The final match will be held on the 18th of Chaitra.
