
Sagarmatha Youth Club, Morang has entered the final of the ongoing Control 15th Itahari Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament.
In the second semi-final held on Thursday, Sagarmatha managed to get closer to the title by defeating Dharan Football Club, Sunsari 1-0. Kuldeep Karki scored the only goal for Sagarmatha through a penalty in the 29th minute of the match at the Itahari Stadium.
Kuldeep of Sagarmatha, who scored the decisive goal, was declared the Man of the Match. Sagarmatha will now face Machhindra Football Club, Kathmandu, in the final to be held on Saturday, February 10.
The winner of the tournament, organized by the National Awakening Club, Itahari, will receive Rs 1 million in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive Rs 0.5 million.
